Fizz-O Water Company has its beginnings dating back to the early days of Oklahoma statehood. Founded in 1909 by Charles Page, oilman and influential leader in the Tulsa community. He began development of the springs at a time when Tulsa's drinking water came from the nearby Arkansas River. The company took its original name "Sand Springs Water Company" from the three springs naturally flowing on the side of a hill at Adams Road in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Sand Springs Water Company stayed in the Page family until 1931 when Harry C. Doerner became the new owner of the company.
In 1941, the company purchased the Distilled Water Company of Tulsa, producer of distilled water for use in drug stores, laboratories, and similar institutions. Expanding again in 1942, Sand Springs Water Company acquired the Fizz-O and Syfo Water Company, producer of carbonated water in the distinctive siphon-shaped seltzer bottles. At that time, the Sand Springs Water Company changed its name to Fizz-O Water Company. In 1944, Fizz-O became a distributor of Mountain Valley Spring Water. Mountain Valley was established in 1871 selling natural spring water from Hot Springs, Arkansas.
In 1947, Fizz-O discontinued bottling spring water from Eureka Springs, Arkansas. In 1972, the property at Eureka Springs was sold and started the development of Ozarka Drinking Water. Fizz-O switched to Spring House, a wonderful spring deep in the Ouachita National Forest in the Arkansas mountains.
Currently, Fizz-O still offers Spring House Spring Water, Ozarka Drinking Water, and Doublpure Distilled Water and remains a distributor of Mountain Valley Spring Water. Over these years, Fizz-O Water Company has remained a family owned business and has taken great pride in providing the consumer with the best quality waters and service.
